Ms Kalli received her Master's Degree in educational psychology from Fordham University, New York, and her BA degree in sociology and general psychology from Hunter College of the City University of New York.
For nine years, Ms Kalli has been involved as a researcher in social and educational research programs. During her work as a researcher she worked on European Funded projects regarding the coordination and the implementation of the programs. The research areas which were addressed were the development of children's research skills, youth engagement in social change by ensuring and enhancing the effective participation in decision making of children and young people at risk, promoting motivation, communication, team work skills among young people. Also, her research areas focused on issues related to interethnic violence and children’s rights in the school environment.
Ms Kalli worked for 3 years as an Assistant Project Manager of the "University- industry liaison office" project at the Open University of Cyprus (a project co-funded by the European Social Fund) contributing to the establishment of cooperation between private entities and the Open University and supporting graduate students to connect with the Business sector by enhancing their employability skills.
Her research experience in accordance with her competence in training and project implementation contributes to the coordination and management of European Commission funded projects such as, DAPHNE III Program, ERASMUS+, JUSTICE-Fundamental Rights and Citizenship, and other National Funding Opportunities.
She had also been involved in writing articles regarding the importance of a Liaison office and co-authoring a book chapter and article related to interethnic violence.
