Role:

The company employs a number of expert business consultants, with long-term experience in the submission of proposals and in the implementation of projects. GrantXpert Consulting has established a track record for successful applications to a number of European programmes, as each employee specialises in specific funding opportunities.

GrantXpert is currently growing fast and is looking for experienced and hard-working professionals to join the team. Description of the Role:

Two full-time positions are open for an experienced Project Manager and a Grant Writer. The candidates for these positions will work as core team members of the European Funding Programmes Unit. The primary responsibilities of these positions will be to actively participate in the sound project management of large EU-funded projects and to contribute to the development of new proposals, on behalf of the company and its clients. Also the new executives will lead or assist in the planning, implementation and introduction of innovative products/services or new educational courses. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the preparation and submission of new proposals, written in Greek or in English and submitted under structural funds and/or European funding programmes.
  • Ensure the successful submission of new proposals taking into consideration the evaluation criteria of each programme.
  • Interact regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for effectively securing new funds on behalf of these clients from national and EU funding programmes.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients and represent clients' needs as appropriate to relevant national and EU authorities. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes accordingly when it comes to the preparation of new proposals or the implementation of existing projects.
  • Present oral and written reports, defining plans, problems and resolutions to appropriate levels of management of the company.
  • Coordinate project documentation, according to the needs of each programme.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and conduct training sessions and research studies, in relation to the project that this executive will be in charge of.
  • Handle the design, production and distribution of dissemination material for the projects that this executive will be in charge of.
  • Handle the update of social media accounts for the projects that this executive will be in charge of.
  • Remind partners at national and EU level about upcoming deadlines and documentation that needs to be kept at partner level, for the projects that this executive will be in charge of.
  • Coordinate meetings, phone conferences, minutes and presentations for multiple projects that this executive will be in charge of.
  • Participate in coordination/partners’ meetings in Cyprus and other EU countries in relation to the projects that the executive will be coordinating.
  • Work closely with the Finance Department of the company, in order to secure the smooth administrative and financial management of ongoing projects, on behalf of the company and its clients.
  • Undertake any other duties or training and development, consistent with the person’s skills and experience and appropriate to the post, as directed by the Managing Director of GrantXpert.

Desired Professional Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD degree, preferably in the areas of Education, ICT/Technology, Social Sciences, Humanities, Business/Management, Economics, Energy, Environment and Health.
  • 5 years directly related work experience. Demonstrated professional experience in a supervisory or project management position, preferably with international/EU experience. It is preferred that the person has previous practical/professional knowledge in relation to the structural funds of the Research and Innovation Foundation and the European funding programmes of Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Greek.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge.
  • Excellent academic writing skills in English and Greek.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in both English and Greek.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge.

Due to the nature of the work, it is a requirement that the selected people will be able to deliver independently within the first two months of their hiring. Extensive training will be offered to the successful candidate.
