JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Description of the Role:

One full-time position is currently open for a Junior Project Manager. The candidate for this position will work as a core team member of the European Funding Programmes Unit and will be extensively trained by the team’s experienced project managers. The primary responsibilities of the candidate will be to contribute to the sound project management of large EU-funded projects, on behalf of the company and its clients. Also, the new Project Manager will assist in the planning, implementation and introduction of new educational courses into the market. The candidate should have interest and/or knowledge in the fields of education/training, soft skills development, working with youth, culture and the arts, environment and sustainability, innovation, digital skills and ICT/technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in progress monitoring of funded projects in the fields specified above
  • Assist in handling the project management online tool and archive
  • Schedule, coordinate, and conduct training sessions and research studies, in relation to the project
  • Present oral and written reports, defining plans, problems and resolutions to appropriate levels of management of the company.
  • Coordinate project documentation, according to the needs of each programme.
  • Handle the communication with partners via emails, online meetings and calls.
  • Handle the design, production and distribution of dissemination material for the projects that this executive will be in charge of.
  • Contribute in the update of social media accounts for the projects that this executive will be in charge of.
  • Remind partners at national and EU level about upcoming deadlines and documentation that needs to be kept at partner level, for the projects the candidate will be involved in.
  • Coordinate meetings, phone conferences and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Contribute to the preparation of presentations for the projects the candidate will be involved in.
  • Participate in coordination/partners’ meetings in Cyprus and other EU countries in relation to the projects that the candidate will be involved in.
  • Work closely with the Finance Department of the company, in order to secure the smooth administrative and financial management of ongoing projects, on behalf of the company and its clients.
  • Undertake any other duties or training and development, consistent with the person’s skills and experience and appropriate to the post, as directed by the Managing Director of GrantXpert.

Required Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree, preferably in the areas of Education, ICT/Technology, Social Sciences, Humanities, Business/Management, Economics, Energy, Environment and Health.
  • 6 months to 1 year of previous related work experience, preferably in the role of Project Manager in Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe programmes. Demonstrated professional experience in a supervisory or project management position, preferably with international/EU experience. It is preferred that the person has previous practical/professional knowledge in relation to the European funding programmes of Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe.
  • Good verbal and writing skills in English and Greek.
  • Good presentation and communication skills in both English and Greek.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge.
  • Strong organisational skills
